The new "decoration" in my bedroom!

While getting ready for bed last night I heard a hissing noise.  I thought it was a toy or something that was running out of batteries, so I searched around and found wet carpet!!  Figured out there was a leak in a pipe behind the wall.  Thanks to some great home teacher neighbors and Jon who came to help figure out what to do!
We turned off the water to the house and called the plumber first thing this morning.  He came right over and cut a hole in the wall and found the leak.  Evidently the pipe must have had a small leak for a long time and "plugged" itself with the heavy mineral deposits in our water.  Then I guess the plug just gave out.

*Side note* After taking off the baseboard I found the paint color from when we first moved into the house. Green walls and green carpet.  Someone must have LOVED green!

We were blessed to catch it before the whole house flooded and it looks like there isn't too much damage to the wood, just soggy carpet and drywall.  So we are hoping we can dry everything out quickly and avoid a really big mess (Although I kinda wish that the whole house would have flooded so I could have gotten new carpet. :0)  Not really, that would have been rotten!)
So, that's my excitement for the day...just waiting for carpet to dry and for Erick Guthrie to get home from a scout camping trip so he can fix my dry wall! :0)

It's a tradition!
January 1st we load up the trucks and the arsenal and head to the desert to shoot stuff.  We ended up with about 8 different families.  Dallin had a great time!  We are so grateful for friends who shared their firearms!  This is now on Dallin's wish list.

My Flake cousins showed up and brought some serious firepower.  Pretty typical of the Flakes!  Go big or go home!

Trenton eventually made it! We're sure glad he had his truck to haul home all the garbage after we shot it.
Dorothy...love her.  She hates it when I take her picture, so I do.

This little one had a super great time!  Really, she did.  She played and played and enjoyed every minute of it.
Her favorite parts were the mud and picking up all the shells off the ground!

It was such a fun day.  We were very blessed that everyone arrived safely and went home safely!  It's surprising given the amount of fire power that was there!!

We rang in the New Year at The Woolf's house.  It's a tradition to do a White Elephant gift exchange for all the kids, and a separate one for adults.  There was a little confusion last year about what exactly a White Elephant gift was, so Leslie made sure everyone was clear this year.

Cute kids waiting their turn.  It was a loud affair as you can imagine!

After her first gift was stolen, she ended up with silly string!  Best. Prize. Ever.
Dallin opted to have a night with Jace playing video games instead of the party. I don't think he was disappointed!

 Trent and his gold tooth!

A little urban fishing.

Dallin's favorite Christmas present...Jace came to visit!

I think for me the key is the urban part...because the fishing part lasted about 10 minutes.  Then they all wanted to go to the park and play.

Maura's very favorite Christmas gift!
She got a Barbie scooter...I don't think she really cares what kind of scooter it is, she just loves that she has one.  It's all she does lately!

At her request we had to take all kinds of pictures of her on it...
